US Cellular, which is probably one of the most popular regional network providers in the country, has announced a new smartphone to their line-up. The network has recently announced the Huawei Ascend II to be added to their range of smartphones by next week.

With regards to specs, the Huawei Ascend features a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and a 600MHz processor. Camera comes in the form of a 5 megapixel one while it’s operating system will be the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The phone is free but only after a $100 mail-in rebate. Go ahead and check out US Cellular’s site for more information about the device.
